Workspace: sle-outcomes-swansea

This represents a working directory for Project: 131 - SLE and COVID-19 on all of the secure environments supported by OpenSAFELY.

On each secure environment, the directory includes code from the repository, and the results of running it against real data (“jobs”). Researchers can request jobs are run from this page.

Workspace purpose

This study aims to investigate whether SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus) and/or the treatments of SLE predispose patients to an increased risk of contracting COVID-19 and/or more severe infection (e.g. higher rate of hospitalisation and/or death) or higher likelihood of long COVID-19 (e.g. post viral syndrome and/or fatigue diagnosis). In addition, we aim to investigate if contracting COVID-19 is associated with higher incidence of new SLE cases compared to previous years prior to the COVID-19 pandemic by investigating the incidence of SLE at different time points
