Workspace information

This is an OpenSAFELY workspace. It represents a working directory for the 2 - Online Consultations project on all of the secure services ("backends") supported by OpenSAFELY.

On each backend, the directory includes code from the repository, and the results of running it against real data ("jobs"). Researchers can request jobs are run from this page.

Workspace purpose

** Work paused in early Discovery given feasibility assessment about a) existence of codes appropriate enough and with sufficient specificity; b) ability to define pilot and control sites. The work on wider teleconferencing - particularly online consultation systems - can be found in project 2 **

Premise: We are interested in understanding delivery of Video Group Clinics in practices. 500 practices participated in the a project piloting video group clinics and we would be interested in understanding how many video group clinics were delivered by these practices. We would also be interested in understanding delivery of video group clinics among practices that did not participate in the pilot.

Coding of Video Group Clinics is an issue, especially as non-SNOMED, hence the focus of this initial analysis is to, for now, understand the use patterns and prevalence of related codes. The coding git issue can be found at https://github.com/opensafely/codelist-development/issues/50.

Analysis:
* The number of instances of each code [in the last 24 months] and number of unique patients with those codes
* Number and portion of practices having used those codes at least once
* Monthly time-series [last 24 months] of code instances by practice deciles (+ GP consultations as trend comparator) - align with Observatory work.

Other caveats from initial ask - difficult to query consultations as meaningful unit; practices cannot be extracted as identifiable.
